We are proud to announce that Bargate is a new primary sponsor of the Ex Saints team in 2026. The partnership was announced at the Ex Saints Golf Day at Brockenhurst Manor Golf Club, which brought together former Southampton FC players, local businesses and supporters to raise money for a range of local charities, including Friends of PICU, Abby’s Heroes, Honeypot Children’s Charity, Dementia Support Hampshire & IOW, Sophie’s Appeal and Saints Foundation.
Representing Bargate on the day were our Managing Director Mark White, Sales & Marketing Director Andrew French and Commercial Director Mike Sneddon, who joined former Southampton FC defender Bob McCarthy for the charity tournament. Southampton FC legend Matt Le Tissier was also in attendance and revealed the Ex Saints player assigned to each participating team for the forthcoming charity programme.
Throughout 2026, the Ex Saints will play 10 charity matches against local clubs and representative teams, helping to raise money and awareness for a variety of good causes across the South. Bargate’s sponsorship will see our branding featured on the team’s new kit as they continue their fundraising efforts.
Mark White, Managing Director, said: “Football has a unique ability to bring people together and make a positive difference in communities. The Ex Saints have a fantastic reputation for supporting local charities and good causes, and we’re delighted to support the team as they continue that work across Hampshire. Having our logo on the shirts is something we’re incredibly proud of, particularly given the strong links between Bargate, Southampton FC and the communities where we build.”
Community support remains a central part of Bargate’s approach. Alongside our partnership with Southampton FC, its Women’s First Team and Saints Foundation, we also support free Soccer School places for eligible children to join the Saints Soccer School holiday programme.
In addition, we recently announced our sponsorship of Hampshire Cricket and the Utilita Bowl, alongside Lymington Cricket Club, near one of our new developments in the New Forest. We also pride ourselves in supporting productions and community initiatives at Mayflower Theatre, and we regularly back grassroots football teams, local charities, events and community projects in the areas where we build.
