A customer journey where we take care of you
At Bargate, we care about our customers, putting them first in everything we do. To that end, we have created a unique customer journey to guide you through the Bargate experience. This isn’t another box-ticking exercise or a wall of empty promises.
Ours is a clear and comprehensive process with accompanying actions, setting out what you can expect when buying your dream home. This process is designed to make the experience as easy and enjoyable as possible, keeping you informed and involved at all times.

Your journey, step by step
It begins…
…with finding your dream home with Bargate. Whether you are a first-time buyer or searching for the perfect home for your growing family, Bargate has a variety of options to suit your needs. Explore our offerings and visit our show homes to find the home that fits you best.


Reservation
Once your reservation has been paid and your solicitors are instructed, your home will be reserved for 42 days, and this will be confirmed in writing within 48 hours. During this period, the price will be fixed and we will not enter into a reservation agreement with another customer on the same property.
You now need to complete your mortgage application.
Speak to our on-hand sales team about how to keep your solicitor and financial adviser moving.
Post reservation
Within 10 days of reserving your home, we will book your post-reservation meeting with your Sales Advisor. This is a comprehensive review of every aspect of your home and its situation: detailing layout, appearance, location, site layout and boundaries from working plans. Your standard specification is also confirmed.
From here, we will guide you weekly with photography to document your home’s journey.


The first brick
At Bargate, we create individual homes which are the dream homes of our customers. So, unlike other housebuilders, we look to share the excitement of your home being built, by inviting you on-site, to lay the first brick. An emotional milestone in your journey, which we capture for you to treasure.
Your customer experience centre
You’ll be invited to our Customer Experience Centre, where together we start the process of transforming your house into a home. Not only can you choose your tiles, flooring, and kitchen units but we also offer an additional range of optional extras you may want to add (subject to the build stage).


See your home
We understand your excitement now that you have exchanged contracts and want to further add to the special and memorable nature of the experience. So, unlike other housebuilders, we invite you to see your home as it really starts to take shape.
Now you can start to see the scale and thoughtful layout of your home first-hand, as you are guided room-to-room.
Director’s sign-off
Your site manager will carefully oversee the construction of your home, through all stages, to the industry’s highest standard.
However, at Bargate, this commitment to quality goes a stage further. Such is the pride in our product that your home – like every single one we build – will be further inspected by one of our board of Directors after an already rigorous Quality Inspection process.
They have a simple criteria in assessment: “Would I live here?”. Only when they are happy, will your home be ready and a moving-in date confirmed. This level of scrutiny is unusual in our industry but we feel an important reassurance to customers.

Home demo

It’s now 2 weeks before you move in. We’ll confirm the date and you will need to organise your removals. We’ll also organise your home demo with our Bargate New Home Demonstrator. This appointment will demonstrate appliances, heating and hot water systems, so you’re prepared to move in.

Handover

It’s move-in time! We’ll help settle you in, read utility meters, and provide your sales manual. This includes details on finishes, maintenance tips, warranties, and customer care. Within days, our customer care team will contact you to explain your 10-year structural warranty and 2-year issue cover.

Hopefully, you will have no issues, but with a man-made product, built in varying weather conditions, there may be remedial items that require our attention. Any issues will be discussed with you as well as how they will be rectified.


Complete peace of mind
You will be given emergency call out numbers so help will never be more than a phone call away.
